In the past, public was very much scared of visiting government’s offices to submit applications to obtain their desired documents/certificates. This was due to the involvement of various intermediaries, agents, asking to submit unrelated documents and paying bribes etc. with the applications. Even fulfilling all those requirements, public was not aware of their applications’ statuses and was in doubt whether they will get their certificates or not. Owing to this, the government’s reputation was not only being damaged but also was leading towards lack of public trust on government’s institutions.
